Benefitting the 25th Annual Fremont Solstice Parade, you can join in on the festivities from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the corner of Dayton Ave. and 36th Street. The smell from the barbecue demonstration will probably be what draws you over, but stay for the beer tasting, with $20 to sample five breweries with 4 oz tastings, barbecue demonstrations, and music from Moonshine & Turpentine with The Eclectic Cloggers kicking off the all day activities.
And because it’s Fremont, there’s going to be a dog costume parade, a mini pancake eating contest, and a bagel ring toss.
Also, all day – or until they run out of barbecue – Pete’s Fremont FirePit will be serving a Whole Hog Lunch & Dinner, including pulled whole hog, coleslaw, pie and more for $10.
It’s free to attend, so definitely come by to catch some great music or watch barbecue magic.
For tickets for the hog dinner, beer pairings, and more information on scheduling, check out their Brown Paper Tickets site. We’ll be there early to be first in line for some barbecue.
