Updated January 1, 2018

What does this policy cover?

This policy describes how Crave Local and its associated or affiliated companies (also referred to as CraveLocal.com, “we” or “us”) will make use of your data to purchase services from our website (cravelocal.com).

It also describes your data protection rights, including a right to object to some of the processing which Crave Local may have in place for certain things like purchasing and advertising, or loyalty programs and coupons.

A summary of how we use your data

Crave Local uses your personal data to manage your relationship with us, allowing you to occasionally purchase from us, be invoiced, and to ensure that we can communicate with you efficiently and on a personal basis.

Data is shared with other members of the companies which are associated or affiliated with Crave Local, and third party agents who assist us with the sale of our services, like vendors who might need to fulfill an order.

Where we rely on your consent, such as for direct marketing or emails, you can withdraw or opt out of this consent at any time.

Your name

Your email address

Your phone number

Your address

Your payment details (including your billing address, your PayPal account, or your bank or credit card details, as needed)

Information related to the browser or device you use to access our website;

How do we use this information, and what is the legal nature of this use?

We process this personal data for the following reasons:

Where you give us consent:

We occasionally may send you direct marketing or emails in relation to our relevant products and services, or other products and services provided by us, our affiliates and carefully selected partners. This can include things like new product announcements, limited offers, and special deals, for example.

In the future, we plan to place cookies and use similar technologies in accordance with our Cookies Policy. The information provided to you when those technologies are used will ask you for consent, and we will use the data for the purpose which we explain at that time.

Withdrawing consent or otherwise objecting to direct or email marketing

Whenever we need your consent, you will always be able to withdraw that consent or opt out, although unless you do not engage with or use the site at all, we may have other legal grounds for processing your data for other purposes, such as those described above.

In some cases, it is necessary to send you direct marketing or an important email without your consent, especially if it is an important announcement that directly relates to our interests. You reserve all rights to opt-out of direct marketing, or profiling we carry out for direct or email marketing, at any time. You can do this by following the instructions in the communication where this is an electronic message, or by contacting us using the details described below.

In addition, you can object to the processing of your personal data in some circumstances (in particular, if it is for a non-legal purpose, or where we are using the data for direct marketing).

Your personal rights are limited if, in order to fulfill your request, personal data about another user or person would be revealed, or if we are legally required to retain information, or have compelling legitimate interests or concerns in keeping this data for our protection.
