National Iced Tea Day is just around the corner! To celebrate this year in style, we’ve partnered with Snowbirds Vintners Wines to whip up some sweet treats, just for you!
If you’re hosting a weekend brunch, or just chilling on the beach, the Snowbirds Gewürztraminer Peach Sweet Tea cocktail will be a palate pleaser for all your guests. Slightly sweet Gewürztraminer combines with juicy, tangy peaches to create a flavor packed, refreshing treat for your taste buds. If you can’t find fresh peaches, or they aren’t in season, try asking your favorite supermarket for packaged peach nectar. Hint: it’s usually in the juice aisle.
Grapefruit and Paloma fans will say, “Hooray!” with Snowbirds Honey Tea Paloma cocktail, a low ABV twist on the Mexican classic cocktail. Honey adds subtle sweetness, and a hint of earthy floral notes to this drink.
Snowbirds Gewurztraminer Peach Sweet Tea

Makes 1 cocktail
Ingredients
- 5 oz Snowbirds Vintners Gewürztraminer
- 1 oz strong black tea, brewed and cooled
- 3 dashes aromatic bitters
- 1 oz peach simple syrup or peach nectar
- Juice of ½ a lemon
- Fresh peach slices, for garnish
- Sprigs of mint, for garnish
Directions
Fill a rocks glass with ice, then top with bitters. Add steeped tea, peach simple syrup or nectar, Snowbirds Vintners Gewürztraminer, and lemon juice. Stir, and add more ice, then peach slices and mint to garnish.
Peach Simple Syrup
Ingredients
- 2 ripe peaches, sliced
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
Directions
Cook all ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat, until all sugar is dissolved. Allow to cool, leaving peaches inside the pan to macerate. Once the syrup has cooled, remove the peaches with a slotted spoon, strain. Transfer the syrup to a mason jar or a plastic container. It will keep for up to a week, and can be used for other recipes, like our Snowbirds Frozen Peach Wine Pops.

Makes 1 cocktail
Ingredients
- 4 oz Snowbirds Vintners Gruner Veltliner
- 2 oz fresh squeezed pink grapefruit juice
- 1 Tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 2 teaspoon honey syrup (recipe below)
- 1 oz black earl grey tea, brewed strong and cooled
- 2 oz sparkling water
- ice, as needed
- grapefruit sugar-salt rim
- lemon wheel for garnish
Pink Grapefruit Sugar-Salt Rim:
- ½ tablespoon coarse salt
- ½ tablespoon coarse sugar
- 1 teaspoon finely grated grapefruit zest
Honey Syrup:
- ¼ cup water
- ¼ cup orange blossom honey
Instructions
Moisten the rim of serving glass with a grapefruit wedge. Turn glass upside down into grapefruit sugar-salt mixture. Twist glass to thoroughly coat the rim. Fill rocks glass with ice. Pour in 2 oz fresh grapefruit juice. Add 1 Tbsp fresh lime juice. Follow with 2 tsp honey syrup. Add the tea and sparkling water, along with the wine. Stir to combine. Add more ice to top it off. Garnish finished cocktail with a grapefruit wedge or lemon wheel.
Grapefruit Sugar-Salt Rim:
Combine sugar, salt, and grapefruit zest. Pour a little onto a plate, and set aside.
Honey Syrup:
In a small saucepan, combine water and honey. Cook gently over medium-low heat, until the honey fully dissolves into water. Remove from heat, allow to cool to room temperature. Will keep for up to a week in the frig.
