If one of your new year’s resolutions was to improve your wine knowledge and you live in New York City, you’re in luck. Join Flûte Gramercy’s experts every month to learn about champagne and sparkling wine by tasting a selection of wines side-by-side. Most tastings are conducted classroom style, with detailed information presented on each wine, with food pairings and time for questions.
The first class of 2013 is Introduction to French Champagne with French Cheeses on January 19, and tickets are $45. With tastings of three French champagnes, representing three different wine styles and paired with a French cheese, the class covers history of the wine and the region as well as the wine making process. If you’re not available in January, there’s a whole year of classes, with tickets as low as $25 for Prosecco in June.

Ultra Brut (Super Dry Champagnes) Champagnes – October 19, 6-7PM, $45 per person
Gourmet Champagnes – November 16, 6-7PM, $55 per person
Prestige Cuveé Champagnes and Petrossian Caviars – December 14, 6-7PM, $79 per person
