Varietals: 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Malbec, 3% Merlot,
2% Petit Verdot, 1% Petite Sirah
Color: Dark, ruby red
Notes: Gore’s Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits aromas of cherry and dark currant on the nose, with saddle leather and eucalyptus on the first sip, typical of California Cabernet Sauvignon’s. Dark chocolate and softly bitter mocha notes persist, with oak aging present. Fruit forward, with soft tannins, and a long, mellow finish.
Pairing: Roasted or grilled fingerling potatoes, duck cassoulet, roasted lamb
Recommendation: Food friendly, and a good value for the price. Intense flavors should mellow well with age. Drink now through 2018.
Suggested retail price: $15.99
