The Tuck Rule name comes from a 2001 AFC divisional playoff game. In heavy snow with less than two minutes on the play clock, the New England Patriots trailed the Oakland Raiders 13-10.
On the last drive, Patriots QB Tom Brady fumbled the ball, and the Raiders recovered. Instant replay showed Brady was in a forward throwing motion, the call was reversed, and the result was an incomplete pass.
This breathed new life into the Patriots new life, the game went into overtime, and what could have been a loss ended up as a 16-13 win.
Whether you’re in the cold north, or the balmy south, we think this classic twist on a mojito will be a winner at any Big Game party!
