The staff aims to provide a true coffee experience – a casual atmosphere that reminds you to slow down, and savor your drink, which may have been prepared with creative flare by their own award winning master barista, Mike Severn.
While settling in with friends for a chat over your drink, you might also be surprised to find healthy, delicious dishes like Coffee Rubbed Spiced Ahi Tuna served with avocado puree, and Thai Quinoa Salad with the perfect blend of jalapeno and peanut dressing.
The executive chef behind the menu is Camilo Velasco, former Executive Chef at Norman’s Restaurant at the Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes. Born and raised in Colombia, Velasco trained under James Beard award winning chef, Norman VanAken. In the evenings, Barnie’s is packed with locals who are looking for some delicious food in a casual, friendly cafe environment. For those, like me, who prefer tea over coffee, I encourage you to try out their black, green, and tisane teas from Revolution Tea.
This summer, they’re serving up a delicious in-house mango infused green iced tea, chilled and served over ice with a fresh slice of mango. Serving up the unexpected seems to be exactly what they strive to do and achieve!
