The 33rd Annual North Carolina Oyster Festival, hosted by Brunswick County Chamber of Commerce (BCCC) will be held in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, on Saturday, October 19, 2013, from 9am-6pm and Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 9am-5pm.
NC Oyster Festival events include: the Surf-Off Contest – Saturday, September 7, 2013 & Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 8am-6pm; Road Race – Saturday, October 12, 2013; Oyster Shucking Contest – Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 1pm; headlining live music act – The Lost Trailers performing Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 4pm and Oyster Stew Competition – Sunday, October 20, 2013 at 12pm.
This highly anticipated food festival features local fare, hand-made arts and crafts, a children’s area, live entertainment, as well as our fantastic events. Festival admission is $5 per person. Children 8 and under are free. Complimentary parking and shuttle service to festival grounds is provided.
New for 2013, the festival is offering two separate giveaways. The NC Oyster Festival Giveaway includes: Two tickets to the NC Oyster Festival, two tickets to the Oyster Stew Competition, two nights’ accommodations and dinner for two at a local restaurant redeemable the weekend of the NC Oyster Festival, a commemorative print and two NC Oyster Festival t-shirts.
