Try this version, spruced up with passion fruit puree and bitters for an elegant twist on the traditional Moscow Mule. PS: Frozen fruit purees from companies like Boiron or Perfect Puree make a great substitute for fresh fruit or juices in a cocktail. They can be purchased online, or from restaurant supply retailers.


Lyin’ In the Tropics

- 2 oz Vodka
- 3 tbs passion fruit puree
- 1/2 oz lime juice
- 4 oz ginger beer
- ice
- mint for garnish
Mix the passion fruit puree, lime, and vodka in a shaker with ice. Shake for 30 seconds, then strain into a rocks glass. Top with ginger beer. Gently stir, then add mint for garnish. Serve immediately.
