I grew up in Bellevue, a city that, while growing, still lacks networking and awareness for women on the Eastside.
Enter the solution: a new event bringing together celebrity chefs, inspirational/motivational speakers, celebrities and a host of local business owners for a day of empowerment, networking and entertainment! The inaugural Eastside Women’s Show is set for Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 10am – 8pm at Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue. Show co-founders Debra Cobain Liz McDanold and Deana Palmer created the event to support local businesses and also give back to local charities. They’re passionate about their mission, saying, “It takes everyone’s efforts to continue to be able to help our communities and economy, as well as our neighbors in need, while striving to set a standard of living that everyone deserves.”
The show will offer the best in shopping, women’s health and fitness, and socializing/networking without wasting valuable time. Special guests already confirmed to take part include: Special Olympian and inspirational speaker Loretta Claiborne, 1996 ESPY Arthur Ashe Award for Courage; celebrity Chef Andre Carthen (Janet Jackson, Kathy Ireland); former “Bachelor” star Jason Mesnick and renowned fitness expert Andrea Metcalf. A number of local business owners have also signed up to take part in what promises to be an exciting kickoff to what will be a powerful annual event.
Profits from the event will support the YWCA of Seattle/King/Snohomish Counties’ Eastside programs that help struggling families overcome a variety of challenges, and other local nonprofit organizations. Tickets are $10, so come by to feel enriched about the Eastside!
Businesses who would like to team up with the Eastside Women’s Show can do so by registering to be a vender or sponsor (or both). There are a number of affordable options. For more information, contact our office at 425-829-5809 or email: [email protected].
