Over the past five years, we have planted a total of 13,000 olive trees over 17 acres in the Dundee Hills. The varietals planted thus far, include: Arbequina, Leccino, Mission, Pendolino, Koroneiki, and Picual, as well as several others we are experimenting with. Each type of olive produces a distinctive flavor, and our hope is to have a diverse selection for making into oils.
The Oregon olive harvest takes place in mid- late November. Our Italian mill has the ability to process over 1,000 lbs of olives per hour, making it the largest commercial operation in the Pacific Northwest. We have been pressing oil from our Oregon grown olives since 2008. Our oils are supplemented with fruit sourced from Northern California.
