Washington D.C.’s Firefly Head Bartender Jon Harris is known for his creative, fruit forward cocktails. Here’s his recipe for the KP Cobbler – a mix of peach, citrus, bourbon, and mint that will surely have you longing for a back porch and a swing!
The KP Cobbler (inspired by a shy Southern belle, whose initials were K. P.)
Jon Harris, Firefly
• 1 1/4 oz bourbon (higher the proof the closer to God)
• 3/4 oz Peach Quinquina
• 1/2 oz Lemon Juice
• 1/2 oz Orgeat
• 4-5 mint leaves
• 1 dash Aromatic Bitters (angostura-style bitters)
Shake all ingredients. Strain into a goblet filled with crushed ice. Garnish with mint sprigs and seasonal fruits.
