About Dogpatch WineWorks
Dogpatch WineWorks (DPWW) is a 15,000 square foot urban winery, collective tasting room and event space located in the historic Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco. DPWW was founded by Dave Gifford and Kevin Doucet in April 2011 and has been solely funded by the two founding partners. In the prime location of the Dogpatch District, WineWorks joins a number of creative new artisan shops and dining establishments and continues to host a number of private events from intimate dinners to corporate functions.
Dogpatch WineWorks also offers a comprehensive custom barrel program where the mission is to provide amateur wine making clients access to a portfolio of premium vineyards, equipment and expertise to ensure an authentic winemaking experience of their own. This process begins with the WineWorks team’s guidance whereby clients select a vineyard and varietal and then drive the winemaking decisions to create their preferred style of wine. DPWW works with top vineyard management companies and growers throughout California’s grape growing regions to provide clients with the best fruit possible. The DPWW team assists clients from the time the grapes are received, and throughout the blending and bottling process. The program is interactive and educational so that clients can make informed decisions that result in superior wine for personal consumption.
The DPWW tasting room is open to the public every Thursday & Friday from 4pm-8pm, Saturdays from 12pm-7pm, and Sundays from 12pm-5pm. Walk-ins are welcome; parties of six or more can experience a seated tasting of a featured flight led by a tasting room host, by appointment only. Dogpatch WineWorks also offers educational seminars, crush camp intensives, blending sessions and winery tours for individuals as well as corporate groups.
