Originally created by Sam Ross, a bartender in New York, the Penicillin Cocktail takes the warm, heady flavors of honey, lemon juice and fresh ginger, and kicks it up a notch with scotch whisky. Top it off with a float of herbaceously peaty scotch, and you’ll be feeling quite well in no time.
- 1.5oz Johnnie Walker Black Label
- .75oz lemon juice
- .75oz ginger syrup (2:1 simple syrup : fresh ginger juice)
- float of peaty single malt scotch
Pour Johnnie Walker, lemon juice, and ginger syrup into a shaker with ice, stir. Strain into rocks glass filled with ice. Float peaty scotch. Garnish with skewered ginger candy or lemon .
