October is National Apple Month! To properly celebrate fall’s most delicious fruit, we chose our favorite cocktail recipes featuring apples. From rum to vodka, cognac to gin, there’s something for everyone on the fall drink menu. Tell us about your favorite fall cocktail recipes, and share your liquid works of art!
Apple Pie Martini*
- 2 oz Azzurre vodka
- 3 slices of crisp red apples, muddled
- 1 1/2 oz apple cider
- 1/2 oz honey
- 1/2 oz vanilla simple syrup
- 1/2 oz lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- ice
Directions:
In a Boston shaker, muddle apples; add vodka and all other ingredients. Shake well. Double strain into a well-chilled martini glass. Garnish with a thin apple slice.

- 2 oz. Caliche Rum
- 1/2 oz. Cointreau
- 1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
- 3 slices of a tart Apple
- 1/2 oz DIY Grenadine Syrup (made from pomegranates, not corn syrup)
- 1 quarter sized slice of ginger
- 3-4 oz. Club Soda or Seltzer
Directions:
Muddle the apple and ginger in the bottom of a glass. Build the cocktail with remaining ingredients and ice. Stir briefly. Garnish with apple slices.
- 2 oz Bombay Sapphire East Gin
- 2 oz tonic water
- 3 slices red apple
- 1/2 oz apple liqueur
- Ice
Directions:
Add all of the ingredients (minus the ice) together in a highball glass. Stir well, add ice. Garnish with apple slices, and a cinnamon stick.
Makes 1 drink
- 1 sugar cube
- Apple bitters
- 2 oz apple cider
- ¾ oz CAMUS cognac
- 4 oz Prosecco Spago Nero, chilled
Directions:
Soak sugar cube in bitters. Drop cube into a champagne flute. Pour in apple cider and cognac. Top with Prosecco. Garnish with an apple slice.

- 1.5 oz Partida Blanco
- 3/4 oz St-Germain
- 1/2 oz lemon juice
- Top with hard apple cider (i.e. Stella Cidre or cider on tap)
Directions:
Build ingredients in a highball glass with ice, finish with cider. Stir. Garnish with apple or lemon slices.
Le Grande Saint Rosé Apple Press
from the Katsuya Hotel, San Diego
- 1.5 ounces Le Gran Saint Rose Sparkling Vodka
- Muddled apple slices
- .75 ounces freshly squeezed
- .75 ounces simple syrup
- splash of lemon lime soda
- splash of soda
Directions:
Shake. Add Sparkling Vodka. Stir. Strain over ice into a rocks glass. Top with a splash of soda and a splash of lemon lime soda. Garnish with an apple disk.
