With summer heat beating down on us, a cool drink, a shade umbrella, and a dip in the ocean (or your swimming pool) can offer a well deserved break. One of the cocktail trends from this year’s Wine and Spirits Wholesalers Convention in Las Vegas was an unusual one: no-alcohol cocktails, and no, we don’t mean ‘mocktails’.
As American consumers are leaning toward healthier, smarter choices, ingredients like chamomile and hibiscus, known to lower blood pressure and stimulate feelings of relaxation, are becoming more popular. Both citrus and hibiscus flowers are also rich in Vitamin C and antioxidants, and can be a great addition to the diet to help gently detox, promote overall well being, and clear the body of impurities.
Try this no-alcohol, zero refined sugar cocktail for a refreshingly new way to ‘chill out’ this summer.
