High in B vitamins and rich in potassium (more than a banana!), fiber, protein and plant oils, avocados not only support the proper function of your body’s cells, allowing you to focus more energy on cell regeneration, but also naturally hydrate your skin, hair and nails from the inside out with their concentrated proteins and heart-healthy fats. The result: a more youthful appearance!
Pretty Prescription: Add 1/2 to 1 whole avocado a day to your diet in place of other fats. Try mashing 1/2 an avocado and spreading it on a sandwich in place of mayonnaise or using avocado instead of butter and milk in mashed potatoes.
