Though its roots run back further, the word “moonshine” is most frequently associated with American bootlegging, where illegal whiskey was distilled at night, often by the light of the moon. If there’s one way to fire up your nights and heat up your holiday gatherings, it’s serving up a signature cocktail with this all-American classic concoction.
With its distinctive notes of rye and spice, Freedom Moonshine is a smooth sipper with a low-burn after-taste as if often associated with quality moonshine. Available in flavors like Blueberry Rye and Firecracker Rye, the moonshine is a treat on its own merits or makes a great base for any cocktail. If you wish to serve up a shot for the holiday, rather than a cocktail, try the Freedom Moonshine Apple Pie for a taste that will thrill all of your party guests.
For a truly memorable festivity, serve any of these signature cocktails hand-crafted by Alex Jump of St. John’s Restaurant in Chattanooga, Tennessee for Freedom Moonshine. You’ll enjoy bar-tending old-school style with a new spin on classic recipes while the spirited drinks will make a big splash with your guests.
