Inspired by the traditional Chinese celebratory feasts, Chef/Owner Shawn Li will be offering a special menu and champagne toast during Chinese New Year weekend. Paying homage to the Year of the Horse, Chef Li has created a custom menu featuring popular dishes and handmade sushi for guests to choose from as they dine within the festively decorated restaurant.
The Chinese New Year menu, which includes a glass of champagne, is designed so each diner can customize their own unique meal by selecting one of TL’s Chinese or Japanese entrées. Chinese entrée choices include Black Peppered Garlic Beef, Crunchy Garlic Shrimp, Basil Garlic Chicken, and TL’s Snapper and Shanghai Scallopswhile the Japanese entrées feature Teriyaki Chicken or Beef, Combination Dinner, Sushi Deluxe and Rolls Feast.
Diners commemorating at TL’s on Friday, January 31 can celebrate the art of the traditional Lion Dance as Chicago Chinese Cultural Center performers take part in the musical and dance show around the restaurant.
The Chinese New Year menu will be available Thursday, January 30 through Sunday, February 2 and is priced at $20 per person (not including tax and gratuity) and includes choice of entrée and glass of champagne (available for two or more guests per table and for dine-in only). The Lion Dance will be performed on Friday, January 31 at 7:30 p.m.
