Harvest season is upon us, which means vineyards throughout Oregon’s Willamette Valley will be hard at work harvesting wine grapes. Red Ridge Farms will be busier than most harvesting three varieties of wine grapes for their Durant Vineyard Wines as well as 13,000 olive trees including Spanish Arbequina, Greek Koroneiki and a Tuscan blend for their Oregon Olive Mill olive oils. In anticipation of this year’s harvest, Red Ridge Farms is pleased to host their annual harvest dinner, which will highlight all three of their locally milled extra virgin olive oils as well as Durant Vineyards signature wines, including their newly released 2011 Raven Chardonnay. Vitaly Paley, of renowned Paley’s Place and two new restaurants Imperial and Portland Penny Diner, will prepare four courses of his perfectly-executed, elegant and soulful fare that showcases local, sustainably-produced food. The dinner will take place in the Oregon Olive Mill, an intimate event space at Red Ridge Farms overlooking Oregon’s Willamette Valley.
