On August 24, from 4-9 pm over 40 producers with 130 tequilas and mezcals will take over the Phinney Neighborhood Center, along with cocktails and a beer garden. To keep your stomach happy, Poquitos, Little Water Cantina, Agave Cocina & Tequila and Calle Tacos & Tequila will be there serving up menu favorites.
And since all that drinking and eating can use some music, local bands like Furniture Girls, C-Leb & The Kettle Black, Sightseer and George Grissom will keep you listening.
Even better, on the 25th five contestants will be competing in the People’s Choice Cocktail Competition at Poquitos. While Tequila Fest reposado and anejo level tickets are invited, and Poquitos is selling a limited number of spots to fill the room, it will be a delicious event worth attending in its own right. With Kathleen Manley (Rob Roy), Jay Ameln (Mission), Amanda Reed (Tavern Law), Michael Cadden (Tavern Law/Ocho), and Rob Nunez (Agave) all fighting for the top spot, it will be one amazing throw down.
Tickets are $40-$125 and include tequila tasting tokens. Additional tokens can be purchased online or at the event, and proceeds will help support the Seattle Benevolent Guild, a local non-profit committed exclusively to assisting child, charities, and support groups in the local community.
