In a city famous for its festivals, the launch and then continuity of a new festival is cause for celebration. As the preferred hotel partner of the Festival de San Fermin (Running of the Bulls) festival in New Orleans, now in its 8th year, the New Orleans Hotel Collection, featuring seven fine hotels throughout the city, has created a very special Spanish Wine Dinner to celebrate the start of the festival on the Thursday prior to the now famous Saturday morning run.
Featuring wines of the celebrated winery Marques de Caceres Vineyard of Rioja, Spain, this dinner will be held on Thursday, July 12 at 7 On Fulton Restaurant at the Collection’s Wyndham Riverfront Hotel, located at 701 Convention Center Boulevard. A cocktail mixer will start at 5:30 p.m., with the dinner being served at 7:00 p.m.
Four wines specially selected to complement the four course dinner will be served, ending with a Wares King’s Tawny Port from the Douro Valley of Portugal. The special price for the four course dinner, wines, service and gratuities is $95 per person. The dinner will help raise funds for the support of the Running of the Bulls festival.
Chef Ryan Stone Ware, a graduate of the Culinary Institute and Chef de Cuisine at 7 on Fulton has prepared a delectable menu offering a true taste of Spain in celebration of the festival. Ahi Tuna Ceviche, a Trio de Carne with lamb pops, braised beef rojo and charred tomato garlic chicken and a roasted snapper with olive tapenade and saffron basmati rice are all part of the delicious selections that make up this four course dinner.
