From a decadent chorizo scotch egg to chicharrones over black bean truffle puree and bacon infused tequila, the West Loop can experience ‘mas’ flavor and funk with a brunch and cocktail culture unlike anything else seen before. In just two weeks, brunch-goers can head to MAS and expect plates not only rich in Mexican tradition, but peppered with Latin and global flavors.
Brunch features include, but are not limited to:
Pozole- shredded pork, chile guajillo broth, hominy, Mexican oregano, scarlet radish and romaine chiffonade. $11
Torta Ahogada- duck, onion oregano escabeche, clarified tomato sauce, avocado and ciabatta bread. $12
MAS Benedict– poached egg, biscuit, baby spinach, red onion, shallots, Spanish chorizo, chipotle velouté sauce. $10
Bloody Maria- bacon infused tequila, bloody Maria mix, olives, shrimp, lime and bacon $12
Michelada- cerveza Tecate, lime, Michael’s mix, spices, peppers and salt rim. $6
MAS’s weekday lunch menu will also be available in addition to the new brunch menu.
For those wondering about hashtag #MASFIRST50, MAS will be serving their signature Chilaquiles Rojo complimentary to the “first 50” guests to arrive at the restaurant on August 23 and 24. Guests will be encouraged to use hashtag #MASFIRST50 as they feast on the authentic dish with chicken tinga, chipotle sauce, onion, queso fresco, crema fresca, black bean truffle purée and cilantro sprouts. No invitation or rsvp needed!
