Spirited Happenings Meld Artisanal Cocktails with Food, Sports and the High Seas
NEW YORK, April 1, 2011–The Manhattan Cocktail Classic, New York City’s annual five-day celebration of cocktails and culture taking place May 13 – 17, today unveiled the official roster of the festival’s special happenings and events, in addition to its full line-up of educational seminar. This year’s calendar includes decadent dinners, boozy brunches, glamourous rooftop soirees, a croquet tournament, a sunset cruise, two party bus tours, a sensory fete with a top food celebrity, and an awesome ’80s party. Tickets go on sale at 12 p.m. EDT on Friday, April 1.
“We’re hugely excited about the line-up of programming for the 2011 festival. Just like last year, the events run the gamut from purely instructive to riotously hedonistic, with a good spread in between,” said Lesley Townsend, Founder of the Manhattan Cocktail Classic. “And the diversity of the events is truly spectacular. More than anything, these are cultural events and they just so happen to involve really great cocktails.”
Together with the Classic’s glamorous Gala and in-depth educational seminars, the festival’s sophomore edition is shaping up to outshine last year’s stellar debut. The full schedule of activities is available here.
