Those who love Lagunitas Brewing Company are in luck this month, as 2 Sparrows will host the Petaluma, California-based brewery for a special beer dinner on Friday, June 7th, 2013. The evening will showcase five different varieties of Lagunitas’ craft brews, matched with a five-course menu by Chef Gregory Ellis, whose dishes will reflect a true taste of spring showcasing local ingredients like strawberries, spring peas, ramps and rhubarb. 2 Sparrows is pleased to collaborate with the beer-makers and further deepen their roots in Chicago.
Diners will enjoy a seasonal prix fixe menu with Lagunitas pairings for every course, including a combination of year-round favorites and seasonal picks. The menu includes:
Spinach, strawberries, almond, feta, lemon vinaigrette
Lagunitas IPA
Seared scallop, spring peas, blueberries, ramps and balsamic
The Censored Rich Copper Ale
Roasted beets, mushroom and goat cheese duxelle, rosemary beurre blanc
Hop Stoopid Ale
Lamb, romesco sauce, whipped potatoes, spring vegetables
Imperial Stout
Rhubarb, lemon, ginger, thyme
Undercover Investigation Shut-Down Ale
