Pacific Northwest Winemakers featured alongside Modern Korean Flavors
Beginning April 28, 2013, Joule Restaurant will commence a Sunday Dinner Series for wine and food aficionados that will highlight small production winemakers from Oregon and Washington. On the last Sunday of each month, Chef Rachel Yang will create a special dinner that will merge the unique tales of the winemakers with her modern Korean cuisine. The dinner, served family style, will provide diners with a chance to taste the wines with a variety of dishes, unlike traditional coursed and paired wine dinners. The intimate events at Joule’s communal table will be an exchange of culinary and personal stories, past and present, that will leave guests with a sense that they have truly become a part of the family.
Joule wine director, Maggie Snyder, has assembled a stellar line-up of boutique Pacific Northwest winemakers that will emphasize some of the burgeoning and non-traditional varietals produced from the following wineries and winemakers:
April 28: Tre Nova Wines, Winemaker Gino Cuneo
May 26: Sunriver Vintners, “Kat” Dykes
June 30: Pomum Cellars, Winemaker Javier Alfonso
July 28: Cana’s Feast Winery, Head Winemaker, Patrick Taylor
August 25: Two Mountain Winery, Winemaker Matthew Rawn and Patrick Rawn, General Manager and Vineyard Operations
September 29: The Bunnell Family Cellar, Winemaker Ron Bunnell
