With the major kick off on Labor Day weekend, guests can enjoy a family-friendly environment complete with this year’s new tribute events, including a Heroes Welcome 5kand post-race celebration; an All-American BBQ; traditional family-focused games and contests; live concert by country artist and host of the television series Brotherhood Outdoors, Daniel Lee Martin; and fireworks display over the Atlantic Ocean. The Resort is also pleased to announce the return of Touch-A-Truck, a kid favorite, as well as the Sunset Heroes Tribute around the Resort’s popular Fire Pit. “We are thrilled to announce that this is our fifth year hosting Heroes Welcome, and this is our best year yet,” said Sheldon Suga, Hawks Cay Resort Managing Director. “Not only are we honored to give back to Americas heroes who put their lives on the line to keep us safe, we are honored that we are able to celebrate their friends and families as well by offering discounted rates, tons of new themed activities the whole family can enjoy and of course, the tributes and recognition these heroes deserve.”
The highlight of the Heroes Welcome program is the resort’s weekly Heroes in Action photo tribute ceremony that takes place every Saturday evening around the Resort’s Fire Pit. This year’s enhanced tribute allows guests to submit images to be featured in the Tribute as well as on resort TVs at locations throughout the property. In addition to the images provided by guests, the presentation features iconic imagery followed by a lighting ceremony as a tribute to all fallen heroes and those currently in action.
While the $109 starting rate is limited to American heroes, all resort guests can receive a special 20 percent off the best available rate by making a donation of $2 to supported foundations. For Heroes Welcome reservations, visit www.HawksCayHeroes.com or call 1-888-313-5749.
