If you’re not ready to retire after dinner on Valentine’s Day (or if you’re looking for a late-night activity in lieu of dinner), Kork Wine & Cheese in Downtown Miami would like to invite you and your Valentine for a nightcap.
From the owner of former Brickell hot spot Transit Lounge, Kork is an intimate, upscale wine bar, cheese shop and underground cellar tucked into the heart of the city’s bustling downtown. The cellar, formerly a 1940s bomb shelter, feels like a modern speakeasy, featuring wooden floors, over-sized leather couches and iron chandeliers, as well as a selection of more than 500 wine varietals and an ever-changing menu of meats and cheeses (with imported and domestic beers available for the hops-oriented).
In addition to scheduled live jazz in downtown Miami (the Alex Hoyt Trio will be performing from 8:30 – 10:30 pm), couples can settle into the bar’s intimate underground cellar to enjoy a bottle of wine, cheese platter for two, chocolate-covered strawberries and 10% off a bottle of wine to take home (so you can continue your romantic evening). Cost for the evening is $50 per couple.
