Here are a few recipes from our recent trip down to South Beach for Food Network’s South Beach Wine and Food Festival.
Zignum Mezcal was one of the featured brands at the press-only happy hour reception. Their recipes from the event can be seen below. Later this spring we’ll be releasing exclusive new Zignum mezcal cockail recipes for you to try at home!
ZigGIN
1 1/2 oz. Zignum Reposado
3 oz. Ginger Ale
Splash of lemon juice
Mix well in a tumbler glass over ice. Enjoy.
Café Tacuba (CraveLocal Favorite!)
2 oz. illy Coffee
1 1/2 oz. Zignum Silver
1 oz. Coco Lopez
Mint leaves
Muddle mint with Coco Lopez in the bottom of a shaker. Add all other ingredients, and shake well with ice. Pour over ice into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with mint sprig.
Lyger (CraveLocal Favorite!)
1 1/2 oz. Zignum Silver
3-4 Lychees (canned is fine)
1/2 oz. Lime Juice
1 oz. Simple Syrup
Mix all ingredients into a shaker with ice, shake well. Pour over ice into a cocktail glass, garnish with a peeled fresh lychee, and a lime wheel.
Serpentine
1 1/2 oz. Zignum Reposado
2 oz. Passion Fruit
1/2 oz. Lime Juice
Jalapeños, sliced
Mix all ingredients into a shaker with ice, shake well. Pour over plenty of ice into a cocktail glass, garnish with a lime wheel. This drink sneaks up on you, and the spice will kick in quickly! Enjoy responsibly.
Orange ZHOT (Like a Sexy, Spicy tequila shot!)
1 1/2 oz. Zignum Reposado
Orange Slice
Salt and Chili Rim
Pour the mezcal into a small shot glass or tumbler, rimmed with salt and chili. Suck the orange slice, and shoot the liquor. Delicious!
