March 12 ‘Modern Irish Food’ Lunch Demo and March 13 ‘Raglan Road Cookbook’ Dinner
In the midst of the Mighty St. Patrick’s Festival March 7-17 at Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant, Ireland’s celebrity chef Kevin Dundon will serve up flavors of his homeland during two signature dining events.
Host of the PBS series, “Kevin Dundon’s Modern Irish Food,” Dundon will cook for a crowd March 12 at 1 p.m. in the Grand Dining Room at the Downtown Disney restaurant and demonstrate recipes from the cookbook upon which the show is based. On March 13 at 6:30 p.m., Dundon will entertain guests while unveiling the Raglan Road cookbook titled, “I’d Ate the Back Door Buttered, Ma!” during a signature dinner celebrating delectable twists on Raglan Road’s popular cuisine. The title is a Dublin phrase that translates to: “Hey, Mom, I’m Starving!”
Known for his five-star Dunbrody House hotel and cookery school in Ireland, Dundon is Raglan Road master chef and creator of the Raglan Road pub menu. “The Raglan Road Cookbook,” Dundon’s fifth, is filled with stories from Ireland featuring Dundon and his restaurant partners Paul Nolan and John Cooke, and their “road to Raglan” that began long before the three met and joined creative forces. Dundon also has his own line of cookware and appliances.
During the “Modern Irish Food” lunch in Raglan Road’s Grand Dining Room, Dundon will demonstrate each of four lunch courses paired with wines ($49.94 plus tax and gratuity):
- First Course – Espresso of courgette & almond soup
- Second Course – Homemade potato gnocchi with seared scallops & crispy pork belly
- Third Course – Pulled corned beef & cabbage infused with an Asian broth
- Fourth Course – Upside-down steamed orange pudding with caramelized clotted cream
During “The Raglan Road Cookbook” signature dinner in the restaurant’s Raglan Room, Dundon promises a fun evening filled with five delicious courses and wine pairings ($115 plus tax and gratuity):

- Second Course – Dublin Bay prawn bisque
